Dr Lance O'Sullivan - His new weapon in the war on child poverty.

In 2013, the year before he was honoured as New Zealander of the Year for services to his community, Dr Lance O'Sullivan pushed a one-legged man in a wheelchair down the main street of Kaitaia, leading a protest to draw attention to poverty in the north. Flanked by local Māori flying the United Tribes flag, Sam Kuha held a sign which read 'Child Poverty, a NATIONAL disgrace'.
Today, child poverty remains a national disgrace, and Lance O'Sullivan remains on the front line.
